Caroline Bergvall Presented with Cholmondeley Award for DRIFT

We are so proud to announce that Caroline Bergvall, author of Drift (Nightboat 2014) was just presented with the Cholmondeley Award as part of the 2017 Society of Authors Poetry Prizes. The Cholmondeley Awards recognise the achievement and distinction of individual poets, for their body of work and for their contributions to poetry.

In their citation the judges said of Caroline, "A pioneer, whose latest work, Drift, is spellbinding and experimental, taking language to strange limits, while engaging with one of the most pressing concerns of our time: migration".

Caroline is currently in the research and development stage of a new multi-disciplinary work, Sonic Atlas, with a team of musicians and scholars, an aspect of which will be shared as a work in progress at the Southbank Centre this autumn during the 50th anniversary of Poetry International, and during King's College London's Arts & Humanities festival.

Congrats Caroline!
